An introduction

Hello there! My name is Brooke and this is my sweet sidekick, Huxley! We live in Bend, Oregon., and like most residents here, we LOVE the outdoors. We fill our time with mountain biking, skiing, hiking, camping and paddle boarding. When we aren’t out enjoying nature, we’re snuggled up at home with cookies baking in the oven, a show playing on Netflix, and a pair of knitting needles in my hands.

A little background: I started taking pictures when I was just a small child growing up in the 80’s. I may have outgrown my grandpa’s cherished hand-me-down Nikon camera and swapped it for a Sony mirrorless, but my passion for capturing moments hasn’t wavered (and I still use my grandpa’s old camera strap)!

I became more invested in taking pictures when I moved into my Ford Transit van. Huxley and I traveled all across the West for nearly 3 years, experiencing sunrises and sunsets with epic views and barely a soul in sight. My addiction to landscape photography reached an all new level during this time. I loved being able to capture the beauty of these places I might never be able to return to. I was determined to lock in those memories in the most beautiful and authentic way possible. I look back fondly on those photos and they transport me to a snapshot in time that evokes a feeling of calm, peace and freedom.

Now that I’ve ventured into the realm of portrait photography, I’m determined to summon those same feelings for my clients. The purpose of my sessions is to create images that tell a story that is as beautifully unique as you are. I believe we all deserve to be celebrated.
